A Factual Recount Is:

You begin with a general statement
Includes where, when and who
Events in order
Third person ( it, she. they )

A Personal Recount Is:

The writer is involved
The writers responses are involved
The events relate to the actual topic

My Holidays

On Friday the 10th of October my friend and I went to Nelson. We drove to Wellington and went by fairy to Nelson. My friends mum drove us to Wellington. We had to travel from Picton to Nelson. When we got to Nelson we got on the wrong bus. We were meant to get on Harbour Side but instead we got on Harbour Bay. It was really funny but we were scared at the same time because we didnt no what to do. I texted my aunty and she came to get us.

My aunty dropped us off at the movies and we went to watch Wild Child. When the movie finished I saw some of my old friends. We had lunch with them, we went to Mac Donalds. My friend and I walked to my auntys house. We had dinner and after dinner we just crashed. We were so tired at the end of the day.

The next morning my friend and I got up and had some breakfast. After breakfast we ran down to the beach. Before we had a swim we covered eachother with sand and we were being silly, crazy kids. We had a long swim and after a while we got sick of swimming. When we got out we decided to go to town to do some shopping. My friend and I got a growling because we were dressing up in all the clothes at Surf's. We were so tyred that we got some movies and went back to my auntys house.

The next day we packed our bags, we were on our way home. We went by fairy to Wellington and my friends mum came to get us. We had a really big trip so when we got back to my friends house we went straight to bed.
